About Us

MyPaintBid.com is an Internet based company conceived of and developed in 2006 by Tom Golibart, designed to be an ally in home painting projects.

With 29 years in the paint and coatings industry, Tom has worked on both the contractor and corporate sides of the business. Benjamin Moore and Rust-Oleum are two of the more well-known companies he has been associated with.

Through his various professional roles, Tom realized there was a need for a more structured, cost-effective system for estimating painting projects and connecting consumers with the right products and contractors. The antiquated method of in-home estimates was inconvenient. It was also a costly and inefficient use of a contractor’s time. Utilizing the power of technology, Tom created MyPaintBid.com — a single resource and an all-inclusive Web site — to fill that need.

MyPaintBid.com gives consumers the ability to quickly compare pricing for different levels of contractor skills before a painter ever steps foot in their door. A patent pending system along with an online tool called Quick Estimator™ calculates a realistic benchmark quote for a painting job (labor and materials) based on a customer’s specifications. All it takes is a home computer and the answers to a few simple questions.

Besides a price, consumers can get details about a contractor’s company and even be matched to painters who are appropriate for the job. Then consumers can use that information to plan and budget for their project. And, after seeing what a professional painting job actually costs, even those who were thinking about “doing it themselves” may reconsider, given the time and effort it takes to get the job done right.

MyPaintBid.com is quickly becoming an essential resource for a successful painting experience. We invite you to give it a try.

Testimonies

Budgeting is as important as preparation and is part of the preparation process for a successful painting project. It is very important to the customer to be educated about what they want and how much it may cost. In the past, the only way we as professionals would educate the customer or quote a project was to take the time and visit the customer’s site. Contractors and consumers are extremely busy and can’t afford to waste each others’ time on a project they can’t afford, or, as a contractor, can’t handle...
